Methods of ManufacturingDerived from the reaction of phenethyl alcohol and hydrogen bromide. Phenyl alcohol was heated to 110°C, hydrogen bromide was slowly introduced, and the reaction was refluxed. After the reaction is over, cool, and wash with water, 10% sodium carbonate solution and water in sequence. After drying with anhydrous potassium carbonate and fractional distillation under reduced pressure, the 97-99°C (2.0kPa) fraction was collected, and the yield was over 90%.
